Chelsea Surette
Chelsea is co-owner of Acadian Shores Health Centre and is a registered occupational therapist in Nova Scotia with over five years of experience in a private practice setting. She graduated with a Bachelor of Kinesiology from Acadia University in 2017 and a Masters of Science of Occupational Therapy from Dalhousie University in 2019. Chelsea was born and raised as a French Acadian in Wedgeport, Nova Scotia, and is able to serve you in both languages, English and French. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and her hobbies are playing pickleball, walking, cooking, and instructing spin class.
Maria Wamback
Maria is co-owner of Acadian Shores Health Centre and is a registered physiotherapist with nine years of experience in a private practice setting. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Microbiology) in 2013 from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She went on to complete her Masters of Science Physiotherapy at Dalhousie in 2015. Maria then worked in Shelburne, Nova Scotia in private practice physiotherapy for three years before continuing to work in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. She has completed additional training in dry needling, acupuncture, pain management, and musculoskeletal conditions as well as advanced training in concussion management. Maria is originally from Newfoundland but has grown to love the south shore during her time living and working in the area.
Chloe Nickerson
Chloe is a registered physiotherapist who completed her Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University. In 2021, she graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Science. Chloe is passionate about improving the well-being of others by offering services to enhance their overall health and goals. She is dedicated to further her knowledge and expertise through additional courses to enhance the scope of services she can offer (stay tuned). Throughout her clinical placements, Chloe found a special interest in pediatric services and musculoskeletal injuries. She is bilingual and can offer services in English or French. In her spare time, she enjoys weight training, going for walks, photography, and spending time with friends and family.
Lisa d’Eon
Lisa was born and raised in the Acadian village of West Pubnico, NS and is fluent in both French and English. She is a mom to Julia and Blake, as well as the family pet Willow, the French bulldog. With more than 16 years in the healthcare setting and having worked for several doctors and healthcare clinics in the area, she brings an abundance of experience. Lisa strives in making sure clients receive the best care possible. Outside of her work, she enjoys walking, spending time at the hockey rink watching her son play, and spending time with her daughter. Lisa is happy to welcome you at the front desk of our Health Centre.
Julia Fish
Julia is a registered massage therapist at Acadian Shores Health Centre. She was born and raised in Pubnico, NS. She enjoys going for walks outside with her dog Willow and spending time with family and friends.
Kate Jarvis
Kate Jarvis is co-owner of Acadian Shores Health Centre and a registered physiotherapist with five years experience in a private setting. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) in 2017 and worked as a registered nurse before continuing on to complete her Masters of Sciences in Physiotherapy in 2019. She has completed additional training in dry needling and pain management. Kate was born and raised in Argyle, NS and enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves anything fitness and sports related.
